Agro-Industry Market Link
Overview of Forward Market Linkage
We operate in three verticals through contract farming
Spices
Medicinal Plants
Aromatic Crops
Our Approach
Urvara Krsi's five-phase approach enables our customers to set up cost-effective agricultural raw material outsourcing programs in new locations, and our farm-to-factory approach benefits all
Phase 1
Diagnostics
At the onset, we conduct an in-house feasibility study to assess crop growth and establish outreach programs for farmers to generate awareness about specific crops including the cost of cultivation & economics. We share relevant knowledge and technology with the identified target groups of farmers.
Phase 2
Backward Integration with Industry Partners
We source planting materials for specific crops from industry partners and their recommended sources. This ensures the germplasm meets the quality criteria, such as alkaloid percentage, color, and texture.
We also ensure technology transfer from industrial partners to the field team based on processes in place, their experiences in the field and prospective challenges in handling crops
Phase 3
Distribution & Planting
We distribute planting stock to farmers along with efficient technical support services, and our field experts guide them closely during the crop cultivation cycle – from planting to harvest.
Phase 4
Consistent Engagement with Agrarian Communities
Our teams conduct workshops on farmers’ awareness and impart technical training for cultivation of these niche crops. Assistance is also provided during harvest, post-harvest care, and dispatch to the buyer.
Throughout the cycle, we use a scientific approach to assess impact and adapt programs through scientific M&E tools.
Phase 5
Establish Market Linkage
Finally, we facilitate market linkage for agricultural products at predetermined competitive market prices. This operating model ensures that produce is sourced right from the farm gate to avoid any intermediary involvement so that both farmer & buyer receive the best possible commercials.

It is a tropical and sub-tropical plant requiring a combination of warm, humid yet dry weather. Red chilli cultivation under Urvara Krsi projects is residue-free (EU / EPA specification), eco-friendly and in a sustainable farming model.
Dried Finger Turmeric
Turmeric is a sacred spice from India, nicknamed “Indian solid gold” or “Indian saffron” owing to its golden-yellow color. It is used as a flavoring & dyeing agent, and the extract is used in pharmaceutical and Ayurvedic industries.
