VCS Project 4893 Landscape-based approach towards the revitalization of degraded agro-ecology for livelihood generation of marginalized communities

This is to bring to your kind notice that Urvara Krsi Pvt. Ltd. is implementing a grouped project titled “Landscape-based approach towards the revitalization of degraded agro-ecology for livelihood generation of marginalized communities” (VCS ID 4893). This is an afforestation project aimed at promoting and implementing plantation of Eucalyptus in the states of Odisha and Maharashtra, India. The plantation will be carried out with short rotations in privately owned lands of small and marginal farmers belonging to tribal communities which are either degraded/fallow/under subsistence agriculture.

Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) may be issued for the greenhouse gas emission reductions and removals for which Urvara Krsi Pvt. Ltd. will be claiming carbon credits under VERRA. The ownership of these credits lies exclusively with Urvara Krsi Pvt. Ltd.

This notice intends to apprise you about the project, to avoid any potential risk of double counting under this project under this grouped project.
