Who We Are
Our History
Urvara Krsi was founded to promote sustainability in agriculture and advance the use of scientific & organic practices in farming. We have been working closely with 60,000+ farmers for over three decades to promote higher productivity and income. With Dr. Suchita Bhandari at the helm, we acquired Avantha Agritech Limited in 2019, bringing the forestry related business interests under our fold, along with the considerable network, resources, skill-sets and uniquely qualified experience of its talent pool.
Quality & Reliability
Our agricultural processes are designed to increase crop productivity through technical guidance and ensuring supply of appropriate soil- and climate-suitable, high-yielding planting stock at the farmers’ doorstep. We promote organic farming and grow crops which are safe to consume with fewer pesticide & chemical residues. Industry partnerships we build enable market linkages directly to the customer, bypassing the middle man along with the associated costs and logistical burdens.
Sustainability Focus
We aim to address the problem of climate change by planting trees and work closely with State Government Forest Departments to promote agroforestry and plantations outside designated forests to increase tree cover in the country and combat deforestation. Buyback assurances from our industry partners also help motivate farmers to take up these projects and move them toward financial independence so they can reinvest in their businesses.
